@Miami FSU South on October 8th

FSU travels to Miami in 2016, but FSU Football has had more road fans in attendance in recent years than Miami has home fans. So we call going to Miami, FSU south.

FSU football has rattled off six consecutive wins in the rivalry that hasn’t felt too much like a rivalry in recent years. FSU has been recruiting and playing at an elite level, whereas Miami has yet to make an ACC championship game since joining the conference in 2003.

Miami has a new coach in former Georgia skipper Mark Richt, and he has hired some quality assistants. Miami players have treated the FSU game as their “Super Bowl” the past couple of years. They play extremely hard against FSU, lose, and go on to suck the rest of their season.

They’ll come with it again this year in what will likely be Brad Kaaya’s last year as quarterback. They have some talented players on offense.

The problem they’ve had in recent years has been their defense. Manny Diaz is the new defensive coordinator.

Miami opens up with three non-power five schools in Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic and Appalachian State. However, they do have to travel to play Georgia Tech and that triple option before hosting FSU the next week.

Miami will likely spend a bulk of the first three weeks prepping for Georgia Tech and FSU. The past few years have been tough games, and this one should be no different.
