FSU Football: Top 5 Toughest Games in 2016

Terrible flashbacks occur anytime FSU fans hear the words Carter Finley Stadium. It all began in 1998 when FSU traveled to Raleigh as the No. 2 team in the nation to get soundly beaten 28-7.
FSU football traveled to Raleigh in 2002 as the No. 14 team in the nation and promptly lost 17-7. Then again in 2006 when redshirt sophomore Daniel Evans threw for over 300 yards to beat the ‘Noles 24-20 in his second career start on a Thursday night.
Then who could forget 2010 when Jimbo Fisher got his first taste of defeat in Raleigh as FSU football head coach. The No. 16 ranked ‘Noles lost to Russell Wilson and company 28-24.
Finally, the 2012 game where No. 3 ranked FSU football team blew a 16-0 lead at halftime to lose 17-16 against Sean Glennon and the Wolfpack.
The ‘Noles had to overcome a huge deficit in 2014 in Raleigh before Jameis Winston and company took over in the second half to win 56-41. The ‘Noles also had to overcome a 17-7 deficit in Tally before storming back to win 34-17.
There’s just something about that place. The ‘Noles will likely be ranked again, and the Wolfpack will have no business winning that game on paper. They’ll have a new quarterback, new offensive coordinators and a disadvantage talent wise.
Funnier things have happened in that place. It’s not a huge venue, but the crowd is raucous at times especially at night.
Did I mention this game follows the Clemson game where FSU football could have a hangover effect whether they win or lose against Clemson?
