Quarterback

The ‘Noles signed two very talented QBs this cycle in De’Andre Johnson and Deondre Francois.

De’Andre Johnson – already on campus – One thing comes to mind when watching Johnson’s highlights– the kid is a gamer.  While he doesn’t have the prototypical height or weight that Fisher covets in his QBs, he’s a very good athlete. Johnson shows great mobility and can avoid pass rushers. He doesn’t have elite speed, but he can burn a defense if he’s not contained. He flashes good arm strength and has a nice touch on his throws.

Deondre Francois – Francois isn’t as flashy as Johnson on film but is an excellent prospect, with exceptional mechanics and a big arm. Touch was an issue coming out of his junior year, but a year with Former Florida State QB Chris Weinke seems to have fixed that issue.

Grade – A. The ‘Noles came into the class with a goal of landing two QBs, and they did just that.
