Meet The ‘Noles 2015 Signing Class
De’Andre Johnson – Three-star Quarterback – First Coast High School – 6’1″ , 180 lbs. – EE
One thing comes to mind when watching Johnson’s highlights– the kid is a gamer. While he doesn’t have the prototypical height or weight that Fisher covets in his QBs, he’s a very good athlete.
Johnson shows great mobility and can avoid pass rushers. He doesn’t have elite speed, but he can burn a defense if he’s not contained. He flashes good arm strength and has a nice touch on his throws.
Johnson will have a chance in the spring to battle for the starting quarterback position. While unlikely he wins the job this year, I am a believer that Johnson can be a very good football player for Florida State.
Johnson chose the ‘Noles over offers from schools such as Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and others.
