Meet The ‘Noles 2015 Signing Class

Da’Vante Phillips – Four-star Wide Receiver – Miami Central High School – 6’2″ , 204 lbs. – EE

The ‘Noles had a need for physical receivers this cycle and Phillips helps fill that need as his early arrival should only help him get onto the field. Already nicknamed “Baby Boldin” (in reference to former ‘Nole Anquan Boldin) by FSUTwitter, Phillips is a decent sized, physical receiver who goes up and uses his strong hands to get the ball. He makes difficult catch time after time in his highlight films.

Phillips isn’t the most explosive receiver in this class, but he uses his body and hands well enough for him to be a very good college receiver and a day one contributor.
