This and That
- Jameis Winston is 23-0 as a starter and during that time, FSU has never failed to score at least 30 points in a game.
- FSU is outscoring its opponents 109-45 in the third quarter this year.
- Florida State’s opponents have scored the first points in five of FSU’s last seven games.
- Rashad Greene went over 1,000 yards on the season last night for the second straight year. Greene is one of only two players in FSU history to put back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons together. Ron Sellers is the other.
- With his first reception last night Nick O’Leary became the first Tight End in FSU history with 100 career receptions.
- Karlos Williams is amongst the all-time leaders in career rushing TD’s at FSU, but last night — when he caught a deflected pass and took it into the end zone — was Williams’ first career TD reception.
- Saturday night was the third straight game in which FSU turned the ball over three times.
- Reggie Northrup set a career high with 13 tackles against the Hurricanes. Northrup was originally committed to Miami, but was a late flip to FSU on National Signing Day.
- FSU’s defense gave up 23 first half points but buckled down in the second half, surrendering just a field goal the rest of the way.
- Next up, Boston College. It will be the second week in a row FSU faces a team coming off a bye week.
