This and That
- FSU picked up its 25th consecutive win on Saturday night. That’s the most for any team since Miami ran off 34 straight from 2000-2003. The streak includes 21 straight ACC wins, three shy of FSU’s own conference record of 24 set from 1998-2001.
- Nobody has caught 13 passes in a game — as Rashad Greene did on Saturday night — since current WR coach Lawrence Dawsey did against Miami back in 1990.
- Greene now has 989 yards, just 11 shy of his second straight 1,000-yard campaign. He’s already set the record for career yardage at FSU and is now third all-time in ACC history. Greene is also just four TD’s shy of breaking Peter Warrick’s record for receiving TD’s in a career.
- FSU notched four sacks against Virginia, tying a season-high. Defensive backs were responsible for three of the four, with Jalen Ramsey, PJ Williams and Tyler Hunter all recording one. It was the first of Williams’ and Hunter’s careers.
- Jameis Winston’s 57th career touchdown pass last night tied him with Danny Kannel for third all-time at FSU.
- 18 months ago Karlos Williams was a safety. As of this morning he’s now tied for ninth all-time in FSU history with 20 career rushing TD’s. Williams tied his old teammate James Wilder Jr. after his two TD performance last night.
- Cameron Erving finally made his debut at center last night after Ryan Hoefeld left the game for a play with an injury. FSU gained seven yards on a Karlos Williams run on the play.
