AH: The whole nation is focused on what slip up Jameis Winston will have next. Is the attention to Winston fair and could he be affected by the constant media onslaught?
DV: Let’s deal in facts. Jameis Winston has never been arrested, nor has he been charged. He has been cited for shoplifting just over $30 worth of seafood, for which he compensated the grocery store and quickly performed his community service. He yelled something from a chair. Oh, and the spurious connection of an athlete who signs thousands of autographs to a high-volume authentication company has produced absolutely nothing.
Does the amount of press correspond? You be the judge (the national media certainly enjoys that role).
PN: Have you seen it affect him yet? He’s undefeated as a starter, the current Heisman trophy winner and a reigning national champion. Next question.
