This and That:

  • FSU may have found its number two receiver in Jesus “Bobo” Wilson. For the second straight game Wilson played a huge role. He caught six passes for a career-high 109 yards and two touchdowns. Of course Rashad Greene still did most of the heavy lifting, but Wilson’s presence makes Greene’s life a lot easier.
  • Speaking of Greene, he had 11 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown on Saturday. The TD was the 25th of Greene’s career. He now has a reception in 33 consecutive games. He also went over 200 career catches and 3,000 career yards yesterday afternoon and is now in third place all-time at FSU in both categories. Greene now has 206 career receptions, one behind Peter Warrick for second, and six behind Ron Sellers for the most all-time. He could break that mark next Saturday. Greene needs 590 yards and seven more touchdowns to reach the other two records.
  • Roberto Aguayo didn’t kick a field goal in yesterday’s game. It’s just the third time in his career he hasn’t attempted a field goal in a game. The last time it happened was against NC State last year. Despite not attempting a field goal, Aguayo still scored eight points on extra points.
  • Jameis Winston — who threw his 47th career passing touchdown yesterday — now finds himself at sixth all-time in the FSU record books for passing TD’s. He is tied with his predecessor, EJ Manuel.
  • One last defensive stat: FSU gave up seven scoring drives yesterday, three of which went 80+ yards. NC State had only had three drives of 80 yards or longer all year, heading into yesterday’s game.
