Welcome to the second installment of ACC Weekly Linkage. I was recently asked about how we came to use the word ‘linkage’ instead of the customary, link. I wish I could tell you that there was some higher power or comedic reason as to why we chose to go with a little bit different vocabulary, but then it would be lie. Really — to be completely honest — we honestly thought the word ‘linkage’ was just funny sounding.

Okay. Enough about how bad our attempts at humor happen to be. Let us get this puppy started and see what is going on in the wonderful world of FanSided ACC sites.

Keeping it Heel has a nice piece surrounding PJ Hairston and all of his debacles. Even more so, it has to do with what Roy Williams thinks about the embarrassing situation. With other NCAA-shenanigans-related issues surrounding the program, getting past a car rental, some bad friendships and whatnot is pretty pivotal to North Carolina.

Who doesn’t like countdowns? Well, outside those on Death Row.  Soaring to Glory has been counting off the number of days left until the college football season gets underway. Each day left has numerical significance — as in how many days until kickoff — which the boys over in those neck of the woods use to throw some facts at your dome. Find out why the number 41 is all kinds of awesome.

Hey! More countdown related stuff over at Ball Durham! Those guys are listing the best Duke teams in the history of history. It is pretty awesome stuff — especially if you love yourself some floor-slapping (aka, The Wojo Slap!). Check out who they have at number seven.

So, like, Florida State and the Miami Hurricanes are going to have occasional scuffles over certain recruits. Sadly, “The U” won out when they landed Chad Thomas — a monstrous defensive end who may indeed come from parts unknown (not really…I don’t think). Read up about the 6’5 240-pound man-beast over at Canes Warning.

Are you behind on your Maryland Terrapins related stuff? You are? That is okay as Terps Nation MD has your back! Visit the site as they have a recap of some commits play and whatnot from the Nike Peach Jam event.

You may notice that not all of the ACC teams are covered during our linkage-fest (ew?). That is because some smart people have yet to realize that their talents are needed. If you are interested or know someone who is, search the FanSided Network to see which sites (not just in the ACC) need a fancy new editor. Be warned, however, as the level of coolness needed to get hired is similar to being as cool as a cucumber — laying on the opposite side of a pillow.
