Amaree Williams
FSU struggled at the tight end and defensive end position last year. Freshman Amaree Williams signed with FSU as an athlete in the 2024 class and flashed as a tight end for the Noles.
He had five receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns. However, tight end Landen Thomas returns and transfers Randy Pittman and Markeston Douglas joining the team this spring, allowing Williams to transition to the defensive end position.
Williams likely won't be a true defensive end with his hand in the dirt, but someone who could make some noise in predictable passing situations to rush the quarterback.
He'll be new to Tony White's defense(as will nearly everyone), and he'll need to put on some much-needed size at only 220 pounds. However, he's a guy with the speed and athleticism to make plays in White's multiple front defenses.
