FSU football hit a major bump in the road Sunday evening. FSU fans rally to support Deondre Francois.

Deondre Francois was a warrior for FSU football in 2016, but eventually too many hits will take their toll on anyone.

Francois took more big shots against Alabama Saturday night before a tackle on his legs from behind signaled the end of his season.

The news broke Sunday evening Francois would be lost for the season with a torn patella tendon in his left knee, and FSU fans showed just how much they love Francois via social media.

Thoughts

First of all, it’s great to see a couple Miami fans with a heart aside from those that were jumping for joy when the news broke Francois was out for the season.

It’ll be that much sweeter to give them the eighth consecutive loss under these circumstances. For Francois, hopefully he can take solace in how much fans respect his toughness and competitive drive.

The game was likely in hand at the moment when he was hurt, but he was out there trying to make a play for his team.

I said it on Twitter, give me 11 players with a heart like Deondre Francois and I’d win a lot of football games.

The ‘Noles will now turn to true freshman James Blackman who replaced Francois in the Alabama game. He’s yet to attempt a pass in college, but will get a chance to get his feet wet against Louisiana Monroe on Saturday.
