FSU football is picked to be one of the elite teams in college football for the 2017 season. Even elite teams have flaws and concerns, so we identify the top 5 for FSU.

When you’re an elite program, sometimes expectations can get the best of the fan base. Anytime you’re in a “rebuilding” or “reloading” year, and the fan base isn’t happy with 10 wins, then you know you’re dealing with an elite program.

That wasn’t the case last season as expectations were sky high, but ultimately the ‘Noles still lost two games they shouldn’t have although they were playing without their best player in Derwin James.

Expectations are even higher this season, and rightfully so, with most of the offense returning and almost the entire defense.

However, fans sometimes have to be reminded of reality instead of looking through those garnet and gold-colored glasses.

It’s extremely difficult to win a national championship. Teams have to play at an elite level, avoid the injury bug, get a lucky bounce or deflection in a key moment, and sometimes that still isn’t enough.

The 2017 FSU football team is absolutely loaded, but there are some key concerns going into the season that fans should be aware of.

Let’s get into the top five biggest concerns.
