FSU football landed a commitment from three-star recruit Jashaun Corbin Monday. We talk about his impact on the 2018 recruiting class.

The FSU football 2018 recruiting class got stronger Monday with the addition of three-star recruit Jashaun Corbin.

Corbin is a former Tennessee commit that hails from Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Florida.

He’s the No. 382 player nationally and No. 8 all-purpose back and also classified as an athlete.

Corbin is the No. 9 recruit in the 2018 recruiting class that’s no ranked No. 6 in the nation and No. 2 in the ACC.

Here’s his commitment tweet below:

Thoughts

A lot of fans are wondering if Corbin’s commitment is insurance in case James Cook doesn’t stick with his FSU football commitment.

I don’t think that’s the case, but ultimately it could be insurance if indeed Cook decides to change his mind. This tweet from Corbin was telling:

The kid has good size at 6 feet and 190 pounds. He could play running back and would be nice sized defensive back too. In fact, he could play receiver at that size as he’s nearly 30 pounds heavier than 2017 signee DJ Matthews.

So I think this case where FSU coaches saw a talented player that could fill a couple of needs, and you can never have enough of those players. Welcome to #Nolenation Jashaun Corbin!
