Florida State kicks off its Fall camp tomorrow and with the start of practice there are plenty of camp battles to keep track of in Tallahassee.

No matter who you ask — the preseason preview magazines, the polls, the national pundits — Florida State is the team to beat this season. FSU hoisted the final BCS Championship trophy in Pasadena last Winter, and this Fall they will return a Heisman trophy-winning quarterback, five seniors on the offensive line and arguably the most gifted secondary in the entire country.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still plenty of questions facing the Seminoles as they kick off Fall camp.

The team must replace over 4,000 total yards and 46 touchdowns on one side of the ball and there are questions in the front seven on defense. In all FSU lost seven players to the NFL draft and six others are currently in camp with NFL teams — that’s 13 players total.

Fortunately, Jimbo Fisher has FSU’s cupboards stocked. Year-after-year of top recruiting classes have ensured that there is plenty of talent in the Seminole locker-room to step in and replace what FSU lost. The question with these camp battles — in most spots — is less a matter of “if somebody can step” and more a matter of “who?”

It’s a nice place to be for Florida State fans — especially considering where the program was just half decade ago.

Let’s take a look at five camp battles that will play out in the following weeks. Click the arrows at the top and bottom of the screen or use the “left” and “right” arrows on your keyboard.
