MYLES BAILEY IS THE MAN

Florida State freshman first baseman Myles Bailey has been red hot for the Seminoles lately. The hitting streak continues as the Seminoles are in Corvalis, Oregon for its Super Regional road matchup versus Oregon State as he delivers a home run in the sixth inning to give his squad a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning.

It was in a moment that the Seminoles needed. Pitcher Joey Volini got in trouble in the bottom half of the fifth inning, where the Beavers tied the game at 1. Florida State's offense needed to find a way to answer.

Thankfully, Oregon State pitcher Dax Whitney had a masterful 4.2 innings against the Seminoles, where he recorded 10 strikeouts. His off-speed pitch gave Florida State's offense fits. Relief pitcher Nelson Keljo came in for Whitney, and Bailey saw the advantage.

BAILEY HAS BEEN RED HOT

Seminole fans are nervous about the chances of defeating Oregon State on the road. It gives Florida State a breath of fresh air when Bailey can deliver a home run like that in such a critical moment when their backs are against the wall.

The youngster has proven it time and time again this season. He has now hit a home run in seven of the last eight games. Bailey has the frame to play tight end for the Seminoles' football team in 2025 (6'4" and 257 pounds). I wouldn't be opposed to the idea.

Nonetheless, if the Seminoles want to finish out this series and get the coveted first national championship in school history, Bailey (as well as the rest of the offense) needs to continue its powerful ways and produce runs for its pitching staff.
