Seminoles head coach and former WNBA player Brooke Wyckoff made an effort to help her starting center in her development as she continued to be one of the focal points of the team. Throughout the 2024-25 season, fans saw the versatility of Timpson. She continued to stand tall against opposing teams for rebounds while also playing in multiple areas on offense.
Timpson’s new journey in Indiana will be great for her to experience. The Fever are a team that has done well by drafting star talent that can take them to the next level. Not only will Timpson play next to young stars like Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, but also play next to key veterans like DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, and former Florida State legend Natasha Howard. Playing next to experienced players and former WNBA champions is another advantage Timpson will have as a rookie.
With all of the talent the Fever have, where will Timpson fit into the mix? More likely, Timpson will play as the backup center behind Aliyah Boston. It will be a new role for her as she was the second-best player for Florida State. However, Timpson will look to adjust and be a team player. The goal is for Timpson to be a star in her role. Don’t expect Timpson’s name to be in the Rookie of the Year race. The 2025 Draft features great talent who are projected to be franchise players. Despite Timpson not being a bright star like her Draft mates, she knows that she can make an impact in Indiana based on her hustle alone. The goal for Timpson will be to play her role. As long as she keeps making an impact on both ends, she’ll gain more attention from her fans and team.
