The NFL Playoffs are here!

Even if you don't have an NFL team to cheer for, the good news is that you have former Florida State Seminoles that you can monitor. I already mentioned in a previous article that Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, Keir Thomas, Josh Sweat, and Johnny Wilson are going to be featured in the Rams versus Eagles matchup that you can catch on NBC/Peacock at 3:00 PM EST.

Wide receiver Johnny Wilson was a pivotal piece to the Seminoles' success in 2022 and 2023. The 6'7" pass catcher was a cheat code for Florida State offense where quarterback Jordan Travis could just throw the football up and let him go grab it.

Flashing back to the 2022 offseason, the wide receiver position was not a huge area of need but Florida State acquired dynamic playmaker Keon Coleman from the transfer portal.

Johnny Wilson had a solid two-year playing career with the Seminoles where he recorded 84 receptions for 1,514 yards and seven touchdowns. The crazy thing is that Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman also had a productive 2023 season where he had 50 catches for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The talented playmaker was selected with the first pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. The Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens tonight at 6:30 PM EST in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game on CBS/Paramount +.

He was expected to make an instant impact as the Bills moved on from veteran pass catcher Stefon Diggs. Coleman had 29 receptions for 556 yards and four touchdowns during the 2024 season. He has certainly made Seminole fans happy.

I know Coleman had a rumor surrounding him earlier where he told recruits to not come to Florida State if they did not want to be developed. Since that time, the Seminoles have fired wide receivers coach Ron Dugans and hired Tim Harris Jr.

Florida State is expected to be much better offensively in 2025 with a new offensive coordinator leading the charge.
