Florida State football's recruiting class is currently listed as the 45th-best in the 2025 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles have struggled this year with a 2-10 record.

The on-the-field production was not something that the Seminole fan base was pleased about. With that being said, Florida State has to recruit better high school and transfer portal prospects to get out of this mess.

The Early Signing Period has not been kind to the Seminoles. Many individuals think about when former five-star prospect Travis Hunter de-committed from Florida State and flipped to head football coach Deion Sanders and Jackson State. Hunter was now the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this year for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Florida State has two prospects that make a difference for the Seminoles during this period with four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace (Arkansas commit) and four-star defensive end Tylon Lee (Ole Miss commit).

Fans remember Wallace very well from earlier in the recruiting process, where Florida State was projected to be the leader in his recruitment before committing to Arkansas. This was surprising since the talented linebacker named the Seminoles his number-one school before shocking the world.

The Georgia native has gone through the season with being pledged to the Razorbacks, but it could come to the wire with other schools involved, such as Florida State and Georgia. I have a bad feeling about Wallace, and I think he ultimately ends up choosing the Bulldogs.

As for Lee, he has been committed to Ole Miss since October. However, the Seminoles have not stopped pushing for the four-star pass rusher from Pace, Florida. He officially visited Florida State this weekend for their rivalry matchup versus Florida. I think the Seminoles might have done enough to acquire his services.

Overall, I believe that this could be a solid day for the Seminoles in the Early Signing Period, minus potentially losing five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas to Florida (which is a HUGE disappointment).
