KNIGHTON IS MAKING A BELIEVER OUT OF PEOPLE

I think that Florida State defensive line coach Terrance Knighton heard what people were saying about him on social media, where he couldn't recruit high school talent. The Seminoles have now landed four-star James Carrington, four-star Tico Crittendon, four-star Earnest Rankins, and three-star Wihtlley Cadeau.

The Seminoles currently sit as the 10th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The program is recruiting at a high level, considering the fact that they finished with a 2-10 record in 2024.

The excitement doesn't seem to stop there, as Coach Knighton indicated on social media with a Kobe Bryant GIF saying "Job's Not Finished!".

Coach Knighton could be hyping things up for his other staff members, but I wonder who will be the next prospect to commit to Florida State. I have two targeted recruits that I believe could be next in line to pledge to the Seminoles.

FIVE-STAR CB CHAUNCEY KENNON

This is an easy selection since five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon from Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. This is a prospect that the Seminoles have been trending in a positive direction for quite some time. He will be deciding on July 6th, and it looks like Florida State has this one in the bag.

This would be a tremendous haul for defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr., who already has pieces such as four-star Jay Timmons, four-star Darryl Bell III, four-star Tedarius Hughes, and three-star Sean Johnson.

THREE-STAR DE CHRIS ADDISON

There have been a couple of defensive lineman prospects that have trended away from Florida State. However, the tweet that Coach Knighton could have been discussing a prospect in his position group. One of the more notable recruits that he is going after is three-star defensive end Chris Addison from Franklin Parish High School in Winnsboro, Louisiana.

The Louisiana native finished with 63 tackles (16 for loss), 8.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles during his junior season. This is the type of production that Florida State needs in its recruiting class. Addison hinted on social media that he could be announcing his commitment on July 4th.
