WHAT A JOKE! ACC Commissioner makes a gigantic mistake when discussing SMU
I don't mean to put salt in the wound, but this is the first anniversary of the College Football Playoff committee leaving out an undefeated Florida State team in favor of one-loss Alabama. This was something that many Seminole fans want to forget.
I cannot even watch College Gameday anymore because of the disrespect that was presented to Florida State last year. Even though the Seminoles finished with a 2-10 record this year, it still doesn't take the pain away from the injustice that was given on that brutal Sunday afternoon.
What's even worse is that the Seminole faithful have to suffer being in this ACC conference. The Grant of Rights has made it difficult to navigate to another conference. Florida State has made it publicly known (via Florida law requirement) that they want out of the ACC by suing them for the Grant of Rights that is effective until 2036.
In the meantime, the Seminoles have to deal with the conference shenanigans of ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips. He went on College Gameday and discussed why it was important that SMU and Miami make it to the College Football Playoff.
Why is this important to Florida State football fans? Well, Phillips mentioned Jordan Travis twice in two sentences when he was trying to talk about SMU's Kevin Jennings (LOL).
I know that some individuals want to stop talking about the whole lawsuit, leaving the conference, and last year's College Football Playoff, but this issue keeps presenting itself. I hope that Florida State finds a way to use his video clip when it wins its lawsuit against the conference.
