FSU football has nearly wrapped up its Early Signing Period for the 2025 high school recruiting class. FSU signed four-star dual-threat QB Kevin Sperry to continue its string of blue-chip commits. Sperry looks like he'll be a great fit in Gus Malzahn's offense but needs time to develop.

FSU has Luke Kromenhoek and Brock Glenn(as of now) and preferred walk-on Trevor Jackson, with Brady Smigel committed in the 2026 class. DJ Uiagalelei is on the roster, but I wouldn't expect him to return in 2025 if he got a medical hardship because of the injury suffered against SMU.

FSU's biggest thing to address is the offensive line this offseason. FSU has a few pieces but will likely need to spend some big money to upgrade its offensive line for the 2025 season. Several flaws led to the disastrous 2-10 record, but it was the biggest culprit by far.

FSU couldn't run the ball or pass protect, and it wasn't fair to Brock Glenn or Luke Kromenhoek once they were thrown in the mix once DJ Uiagalelei got hurt. Kromenhoek looks to separate himself from Glenn in the six games played, although he's a year younger. Will Glenn enter the portal? I think it's likely, but even if he doesn't, I believe FSU needs to pursue and sign a quality transfer portal QB.

Here are three major reasons that's the case.
