Florida State football's fan base was worried about the lack of acquisitions during the spring transfer portal window, which ends on April 25th for undergraduates. However, the Seminoles' coaching staff will finally host transfer portal prospects on campus.

According to On3's Pete Nakos, Houston defensive back Jeremiah Wilson will be taking a visit to Florida State on Thursday. The defender recorded 24 tackles, four interceptions, and four pass deflections last season for the Cougars.

Wilson is a veteran cornerback who will be looking to guide this talented bunch of young, inexperienced rotation of defensive backs. While I am high on cornerbacks such as Quindarrius Jones, Ja'Bril Rawls, Charles Lester III, Shamar Arnoux, and others, they have not played extended snaps while at Florida State.

The Seminoles will have to replace the likes of Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, and Kevin Knowles II. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I was surprised to see the coaching staff be content with the position group given that there was not much experience returning.

I love the talent in the room, and I would prefer for the younger players to play if they have the skill set and confidence to take over, but it would be recommended to at least have a veteran in the room to help out the youngsters.

Overall, Wilson is a player who is originally from Kissimmee, Florida, and he graded out with an 86.7 Power Football Focus grade, which was top-ten amongst Power 4 cornerbacks.

I knew that the coaching staff would start making headlines with hosting transfers soon. It was only a matter of time since this roster still needs depth at wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line, and defensive back.
