We've talked a lot about the AP Top 25 poll since it was released. Namely, why FSU was unranked and where the teams on the schedule were ranked.

Now the full set of voting ballots has been disclosed, and we can see where the Seminoles' votes came from - Pete Yanity and Jon Wilner.

The one that stands out is Yanity, who is the sports director for WSPA-7 in Greenville, South Carolina and is affiliated with Clemson. He has the Seminoles ranked 19th. Wilner is a writer for the San Jose Mercury-News in San Jose, California and he has FSU ranked 25th. Wilner has a Pac-12 affiliation.

There's only one pollster that has an FSU affiliation, Matt Murschel of the Orlando Sentinel. It's actually a split affiliation between FSU and UCF. Obviously, Murschel did not have FSU ranked, but was one of the few ballots that had four ACC teams on it (Clemson 4th, Miami 9th, SMU 14th and Louisville 24th.

Other poll observations show disagreements on FSU opponents

Most of the pollsters had the Seminoles' Week 1 opponent, Alabama, in the 6-10 range, but two voters had the Crimson Tide as high as third. I also found it hilarious that former Gator Kevin Carter had Alabama ranked 23rd. He also has his alma mater ranked 16th and three Big Ten teams in the top five.

Wilner was one of four voters that had Clemson ranked No. 1. Another one is ESPN's Rece Davis, so we'll see how much he's pumping up the Tigers to start the season, especially with his superiors making sure that the College Football GameDay host pushes the SEC narrative they want.

At the end of the day, this all means much of nothing once the games get started. There's always going to be at least one team horribly overrated and there will be a few teams that will emerge despite getting very little preseason hype.

So enjoy it for what it is, but, for now, everything is still decided on the field.
