FSU FOOTBALL
Florida State football finished with a 2-10 record last season, so it would be difficult for the fan base to convince themselves on why they should be included in Monday's preseason AP poll. However, I do believe that the Seminoles will be a much-improved product in 2025.
Here is the preseason AP poll:

I don't think it should be a surprise to anyone that the Miami Hurricanes are ranked at No. 10. For a team that has never won anything of significance in the past twenty years, it looks like it is a place where the Hurricanes are put to have people talking about their irrelevant program.
Plus, the Florida Gators are a walking injury tent at the moment, and they have one of the hardest schedules in all of college football (just like they did last year). The No. 15 spot for them could be an accurate description or an utter failure.
Let's not forget about Clemson being listed at No. 4, while Alabama gets the recognition of No. 8. That is four top-25 teams that the Seminoles are playing this year.
I want to give a big shoutout to the eight individuals who gave Florida State receiving votes, even after the disaster last year. As I related in the article, Florida State is inspired to compete at a high level. There won't be any more ESPN's Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy.
The network cannot pick the Seminoles as being an overrated team in 2025 without being ranked, so head football coach Mike Norvell has that going for them. Overall, I bleed Garnet and Gold, but I have to stop drinking my "Seminole Kool-Aid" and realize that the Florida State program is trying to maintain sustainability.
