Florida State had the luxury of picking up wide receiver transfer Duce Robinson, who previously played for the USC Trojans, this offseason. The younger Robinson's father (Dominic) played with the Seminoles, so the connection was there.

The relationship built between him and quarterback Thomas Castellanos throughout the year, where he recorded over 1,000 receiving yards. Robinson was a special talent, and lived up to his five-star ranking in high school.

Overall, Gus Malzahn's offense focused around the idea of running the football, but the Seminoles had capable pass catchers such as Duce Robinson, Micahi Danzy, Lawayne McCoy, and Jayvan Boggs who made impacts.

We don't know what happens to Malzahn this offseason, as he could return to his roots over in Arkansas or might try his luck again in the head coaching game (or retire). Either way, the offense could be completely different in 2026.

However, it should be encouraging for wide receiver prospects to come to Tallahassee to change the points on the scoreboard. The Seminoles have many pass catchers in their 2026 class, but one of the more important signings is four-star Jasen Lopez from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida.

Lopez has been terrorizing opponents on the gridiron for years, where he has recorded over 5,000 receiving yards and 59 yards during his high school career. He didn't stop there, as he was a menace on the basketball court too, with being a four-star point guard prospect. He averages 24.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 4 steals per game during his time on the hardwood.

Lopez wouldn't just be a help to Mike Norvell in football, he would also assist Luke Loucks with basketball. This would be a huge signing for the Seminoles, since he impacts both sports with the university.
