Florida State football's rushing attack was one of the worst in college football during the 2024 season. The Seminoles' coaching staff thought that it could've been a strength. However, the ground game went nowhere.

Florida State has similar pieces to its running back rotation, such as Kameron Davis, Jaylin Lucas, Caziah Holmes, Roydell Williams, and Samuel Singleton Jr. The only difference is that Micahi Danzy moved to wide receiver, Lawrance Toafili graduated, and they added four-star signee Ousmane Kromah.

Florida State also added former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn as its new offensive coordinator. It is worth mentioning that Malzahn's offenses have always been able to run the football at a high level. Even though the Knights finished 4-8 in 2024, they still had a top-15 rushing offense.

I already described that I believe Kromah could be a superstar in the making for the Seminoles' backfield.

It isn't the fact that you needed to see this high schooler squatting 445 pounds. However, this displays the fact that the running back has the mental and physical capability to be what it takes to be a good player (doesn't mean that it always does).

I realize that it is difficult to get behind the point of trusting a true freshman who will enroll in the summer to be the starting running back of an offense that desperately needs to establish the ground game.

Kromah possesses the size, strength, speed, and ability to be successful at the collegiate level. The back from Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia, had accumulated 1,356 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground during his senior season. He was also a pass-catching threat, where he collected 741 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

The pressure is building for the Georgia native to be a great player early on in his college career, but that is the cost of flipping him from the likes of the home-state Georgia Bulldogs.
