This player should be recognized even with the difficult 2025 season of the Seminoles

Florida State's offense has been a mixed bag of results, where scoring 13 points against Stanford and 11 points against North Carolina State comes to mind. However, the reminder of this being the same squad that put up 31 points on Alabama in the opener remains head scratching.

It is safe to say that quarterback Thomas Castellanos has not been the greatest of pickups. Most knew that the former UCF and Boston College transfer was not Tom Brady in the pocket, but the main reason that the Seminoles grabbed him out of the portal was his familiarity with Gus Malzahn and his dual-threat ability.

Regardless of the limitations in the offense, there has consistently been one bright spot: Wide receiver Duce Robinson. The former five-star prospect has been sensational for the Seminoles during the 2025 season.

He is the son of former Florida State wide receiver Dominic Robinson. This has to mean the world to his father because Duce, after his performance against North Carolina State, is tenth in the Seminoles' record for receiving yards in a season (1021), surpassing greats such as Kelvin Benjamin and Anquan Boldin (via ESPN Stats and Information).

There is a realization that bigger things are being discussed in Tallahassee nowadays with the Seminoles in serious threat of missing a bowl game this weekend, but Duce Robinson should be celebrated for his accomplishments because this could be the final regular season game for him wearing the Garnet and Gold.

We at ChopChat would like to thank Duce for his contributions this season. He has made the Seminole faithful have something to look forward to every week. We hope that the 6'6" playmaker can cause fits for several NFL defenders when he gets there.
