Ball wasn't lying as FSU self-destructed against NC State like usual

If Mike Norvell isn't fired.....

I just got home from watching a clown show from Mike Norvell’s team in Carter-Finley Stadium. An NC State team that routinely allows 30+ points a game held FSU to 11 measly points in a 21-11 loss.

We didn’t need any more proof that Mike Norvell needs to be fired, but this game was throwing gasoline on a blazing inferno. FSU dropped passes, Thomas Castellanos turned the ball over, and special teams had TWO turnovers on back-to-back possessions in the fourth quarter.

We've been screaming at FSU punt returns to CATCH the ball all year and we see what happened tonight.

It’s like the football Gods were trying to tell everyone that it’s time to fire Mike Norvell with that debacle in the final few minutes of the fourth quarter.

The odds are that the FSU offense wouldn’t have scored anyway based on how they played all night. However, it’s the fact that Mike Norvell talked so much about special teams in his introductory press conference in December 2019, only for special teams to be a major part in losing that game, a game that should have cost him his job.

It was a travesty sitting there listening to the fans of a program that’s never won anything ever mock the War Chant. The fact that NC State went for it on fourth and 6 and scored a touchdown instead of kicking a field goal. The fact that NC State went for it on fourth down from their 30-yard line early in the game.

They didn’t respect anything about FSU football on Friday night, and Mike Norvell couldn’t do anything about it. It’s where this program is, and it needs a major change at the top like yesterday.
