There has been a flurry of good news surround the Florida State football program, with players such as wide receiver Duce Robinson and cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls returning for the 2026 season.
The fan base thought that this offseason was going to be a disaster for the Seminoles, but the program is starting to pick up its feet and do something about the adversity that they faced.
The roster still needs to get better in a hurry since Florida State football has a combined seven wins in two seasons, but the administration has shown that it is a marathon and not a sprint.
College football nowadays has displayed the quick turnarounds in the sport. Individuals can look at a team such as Indiana, who had struggled for decades and defeated Alabama in the College Football Playoffs.
Another upside happened on Thursday afternoon is that sophomore tight end Landen Thomas is expected to return to the Seminoles, after announcing that he would enter the transfer portal.
Landen Thomas is coming back for another season with FSU.

This is a huge development. I know that the fan base rolls it eyes when discussing the tight end position. However, veteran Randy Pittman Jr. announced that he would be entering the transfer portal, so it was needed to get Landen Thomas back in the fold.
Like it or not, the tight end position is used in the offense as in-line blockers, in-line receiving threats, slot receivers, outside threats, and even in the backfield (Wildcat). Position coach Chris Thomsen has done a tremendous job with getting talent in the room.
It is about time that the Seminoles get good news after having negativity surrounding the program. The truth of the matter is that head football coach Mike Norvell had 10-win and 13-win seasons while being the leader of the Seminoles, so the program is capable of getting better in quick fashion.
