They are overrated every year... When is it time to give up on the arch-rivals?

When will they learn...

FSU FOOTBALL OUTLOOK

Florida State football is entering a pivotal 2025 campaign after it recorded a 2-10 season last year. The Seminoles are in desperate need of a bounce-back back where fans started to doubt the abilities of head football coach Mike Norvell.

Florida State's over/under win total of 7 makes sense, given the uncertainty of a new roster and coaching staff. However, the same cannot be said about the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes. I will say that the Seminoles finished 2-10 last year, so I already know how the fans in Coral Gables will take this article.

WILL MIAMI FINALLY BE "BACK"?

The Hurricanes seem to be "back" every year, but they still struggle to win an ACC Championship. Head football coach Mario Cristobal was thought to have a "loaded" squad last season, but it ended with a disappointing finish, with them losing two of their last three to end their College Football Playoff hopes.

We all know the life of a Hurricanes fan...

They disappoint to end the year, then get on social media to announce that they are a sleeping giant to begin the next season. On3's Brett McMurphy shares that Miami's over/under win total is at 9.

HURRICANES HAVE A LOT TO REPLACE

That seems to be a bit steep, considering that they have a quarterback transfer in Carson Beck, who is coming back from injury. They also lost five of their top six pass catchers from a season ago. I like the additions of wide receiver transfers Tony Johnson, Keelan Marion, and CJ Daniels, but the offense could be slow to get going to begin the season.

The Hurricanes will have to play the likes of Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, SMU, and Syracuse (just to name a few), so the road to nine wins could be difficult if they aren't focus on the task at hand.

I feel like an 8 or 8.5 over/under would have been a more appropriate number for a squad that consistently disappoints when the games are most important.
