Florida State football will be taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies this weekend in Doak Campbell Stadium at 7:30 PM EST on the ACC Network. The Seminoles will be playing in their last home game of the season, as the program tries to get back in the win column.

It has been difficult to come by as Florida State has lost five of its last six games. However, the squad that beat Alabama in the opener is still capable of being successful, but August 30th feels like ages ago.

Florida State will try to convince its fans and recruits that this was a temporary bump in the road. The Seminoles have the 14th-best recruiting class for the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite.

MORE BODIES IN THE TRENCHES

When the losing started to happen, the thought process was that some of the highly-touted prospects will find other homes. I am not saying that this hasn't already transpired with four-star defensive back Jay Timmons flipping to Ohio State recently, but the Early Signing Period is in December and I thought that there would be more trending away.

However, even with the uncertainty of head football coach Mike Norvell and his job security, recruits are still flocking to Tallahassee to see the Garnet and Gold.

Florida State offered two three-star JUCO defensive end prospects in Jalen Anderson and Josh Warren recently, and both are expected to visit this weekend against Virginia Tech.

While they aren't exciting four or five-star prospects, they have been productive pieces in JUCO. Anderson has recorded 41 tackles (11.5 for loss), seven sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one interception during the 2025 season. The pass rusher will visit Illinois in two weeks.

As for Warren, he has accumulated 22 tackles (10 for loss), nine sacks, one forced fumble, and a pass breakup during the year. He will be taking a trip to North Carolina State the following week (where the Seminoles will play them on the road).

Fans won't be happy with the three-star rankings, but both recruit seem to have the production to be valuable takes if they piece everything together.
