The clock is ticking for Luke Loucks with one of FSU's top transfer targets.

Loucks is currently hosting former Colorado big man Sebastian Rancik on a visit and the hope was that one trip to Tallahassee would be all that was needed to make the 6-foot-11 stretch forward a Seminole. But earlier this afternoon word got out that Rancik is planning a few more trips, and he will be heading to Indiana next.

There are also reports that Rancik has scheduled a visit to BYU. If Rancik leaves campus this evening without committing and continues on with these scheduled visits, it will officially be nail-biting time for Loucks.

Rancik would be an exciting fit in Loucks' program. The Slovakian-born forward averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last year with the Buffaloes. He made significant improvements with his outside shooting this past year, hitting 33.1 percent on 3-pointers, which is up from 25.8 percent during his freshman year. That arc suggests that Rancik could be a 36–37 percent or better shooter from the outside in the upcoming year. Improved shooting with his length is a great combination to have.

Indiana getting involved is a serious concern. The Hoosiers are getting after it in the portal during this cycle. The athletic program is already empowered by major success in football and, with Michigan winning a national title with a portal-heavy team on the court, Indiana is ready to match that energy with investments. BYU is also going to be tough competition. With AJ Dybantsa leaving to be the likely No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft and Kennard Davis in the portal, the Cougars a clear path for a forward to come in and be a top guy.

But FSU needs Rancik to wanto be a the top guy in Tallahassee to pair with recent portal acquisition Shon Abaev. It's on Loucks to try to make that happen before he leaves campus.
