Fall camp is officially underway in Tallahassee, and the Florida State Seminoles are back at it on the football field, including one new addition to the roster: former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Squirrel White.
Just a few months since first stepping onto campus, White has already stepped up to the plate, leading off wide receiver drills during the first few days of camp.
On Wednesday, July 30, he was the first wideout in line for off-ball receiver drills, followed closely by running back Jaylin Lucas and wideout Willy Suarez. Florida State's new offensive coordinator, Gus Malzahn, was watching intently from the sideline.
Last season, White earned 381 yards and two touchdowns while playing in just 11 games for the Volunteers. Throughout his three-year tenure at Tennessee, he had 131 receptions for 1,665 total yards through the air.
White entered the transfer portal on Dec. 27, 2024, following Tennessee's loss to Ohio State in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. He committed to the Seminoles on Jan. 5, 2025.

While being the first in line at practice doesn't guarantee his position on the depth chart, this fall, White will most likely be in the starting lineup for the Seminoles, alongside fellow wideouts Duce Robinson and Gavin Blackwell.
White is one of the more experienced receivers on Florida State's roster as the only true senior. Blackwell is a redshirt senior and Robinson is a true junior. The rest of the receiving room is comprised of underclassmen like true freshman Jayvan Boggs.

The Seminoles are scheduled to kick off their 2025 season with a big-time matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Florida State and Alabama are scheduled to play at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Doak Campbell Stadium.
