Florida State football is in desperate need of adding talent at the wide receiver position after Hykeem Williams, Jalen Brown, and Jordan Scott decided to enter the transfer portal. While those three might not have started for the Seminoles in 2025, they were serviceable depth pieces.
The Seminoles were on the lookout for wide receiver transfers during the spring window. I mentioned two targets in previous articles, where I discussed BYU's Keelan Marion and San Jose State's TreyShun Hurry.
KEELAN MARION UPDATE
Unfortunately, Florida State got a double whammy on Tuesday afternoon as Marion announced that he would be visiting Arizona State, SMU, Miami, and Tennessee this week. That isn't good for the Seminoles' chances with him.

TREYSHUN HURRY UPDATE
Then, Hurry decided to shut his recruitment down and commit to the ACC school of Louisville. While the Seminoles do not play the Cardinals in 2025, it does sting that Florida State could not get him on campus for a visit.

ANALYSIS
I am a little bit worried about the depth at the wide receiver position for the Seminoles. They have options such as Duce Robinson, Squirrel White, Jayvan Boggs, Lawayne McCoy, Elijah Moore, among others, who can make contributions during the 2025 season.
However, Robinson and White are two of the most consistent options in the room. It is concerning that White is coming off a significant injury last season with the Volunteers and health has always been a hindrance for him.
The options, as we see, are very slim in the spring transfer portal window for the wide receiver position. The portal window closes on April 25th for undergraduates to enter (graduates can enter after the deadline), so the Seminoles will have to hope more playmakers become available or they are active with the current players in the transfer portal.
Overall, I think that Duce Robinson, Squirrel White, and Jayvan Boggs will be the top three wide receivers, but depth would be nice to have in an offense that needs to have a resurgence in 2025.
