Florida State football lost to North Carolina State by a score of 21-11 on Saturday night in Carter-Finley Stadium. This wasn't even a squad that got outplayed by the Wolfpack. This was a team that shot themselves in the foot multiple times.
How many instances do we as a fan base have heard that before accountability starts settling in?
It is frustrating because special teams was "supposed to be" the core foundation of the football team. Ironically, it might become the final straw as to why head football coach Mike Norvell is no longer employed at Florida State.

With Norvell's introductory press conference, he mentioned that special teams was an important aspect to him. What is even more frustrating is that the Seminoles used to practice that aspect of the game a ton in practice, but it never turned into something special.
The muffed punt by wide receiver Squirrel White and the football hitting off safety KJ Kirkland just goes to show that the football gods might be suggesting that this is the end for head football coach Mike Norvell in Tallahassee.
Florida State football is now sitting with a 5-6 overall record (2-6 record in conference). Yes, I understand that the Seminoles have arch-rival Florida Gators on the road this upcoming season to close out the year. The Gators need to be beaten, and the bowl practices would be very beneficial for the youngsters on the roster (regardless of who the coach is).
It should be noted that Coach Norvell is a great person, but it is time for a much-needed change in Tallahassee. It makes me sick to my stomach that the Seminoles will be on their fourth head football coach since 2017. Hopefully, they can hire someone who will win championships at Florida State.
