Should FSU football fans have high expectations for the 2025 squad?

This could be a special 2025 squad for the Florida State Seminoles.

FSU FOOTBALL FALL CAMP

Florida State football conducted its final fall camp practice in Jacksonville, Florida. The Seminoles are now back in Tallahassee for a scrimmage on Sunday night. We at ChopChat have already highlighted the five biggest questions and five players to monitor for the scrimmage.

The Seminoles' social media team highlights the fall camp from the Jacksonville area, which has the fan base excited. It starts with running back Ousmane Kromah's long reception, then has Kromah overpowering linebacker Blake Nichelson on an Oklahoma drill. It isn't all about the sensational running back, as defensive back Edwin Joseph gets involved with a pass breakup.

One of the more encouraging highlights in the video was quarterback Thomas Castellanos throwing it deep to veteran wide receiver Squirrel White. I talked about in a recent article that the former Tennessee transfer could be someone who changes the points on the scoreboard for the Seminoles in 2025.

I also like the fact that even though Jeremiah Wilson was featured a ton in the video, he never gave up on the plays. This video has me cautiously optimistic because I see a squad that emphasizes physicality and aggression, which the team didn't possess last year.

FSU FOOTBALL FANS' EXPECTATIONS

Florida State football fans know that last season happened, where the program went 2-10. Individuals noticed that the coaching staff raved about the players last year, and none of them played up to their standard.

Many individuals are in the "wait and see" mode as the Seminoles have a 7.5 over/under win total and kick the season off in less than three weeks against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, August 30th at 3:30 PM EST in the newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium.

Even as fans learned in 2021 with the Seminoles' close loss to Notre Dame, Florida State was humbled with an embarrassing loss to FCS opponent Jacksonville State. Nonetheless, this is a Seminoles team that fans should be confident in. They should be stabilized with coordinators Gus Malzahn and Tony White.

Nonetheless, this is a squad that is confident in itself, with all of the veteran leaders on the team.
