Florida State football will be taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies Saturday at 7:30 PM EST in Doak Campbell Stadium on the ACC Network. The Seminoles will be having their Senior Night. Hopefully, this means that veterans such as Caziah Holmes, Darrell Jackson Jr., and Shyheim Brown (among others) get a nice send-off.

The Seminoles are favored by 14.5 points against the Hokies, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, so the contest look to be something to look forward to for the fan base.

However, individuals have been critical of what has transpired in Tallahassee, as Florida State has lost five of its last six games and have fallen to a 6-15 record in their last 21 games. That isn't the standard of this proud Seminole program.

ANALYSIS

As we saw with the last home game against Wake Forest, the players seem to be supportive of head football coach Mike Norvell. With that said, some fans are counting down the days until the administration pay his $54 million buyout.

The truth of the matter is that this is a struggling Virginia Tech team that has a 3-6 record and an interim coach. This isn't exactly the "New November" that quarterback Thomas Castellanos was referring to, but there are capable pass catchers on the team to make the offense explosive.

The Hokies are vulnerable against the pass, where they are allowing 220.7 yards per game (per ESPN statistics). The secondary has been depleted for Virginia Tech, as they are starting youngsters that probably shouldn't be in meaningful roles yet.

This is a Florida State team that is looking to find a level of consistency with having to face off against Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Florida to close out the year. As long as Florida State contains Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones, the Seminoles should win by two possessions.

SCORE PREDICTIONS

Taylor Devers: 34-23 FSU

Kelvin Hunt: 31-17 FSU

Michael Wilson: 31-23 FSU

Griffin Durden: 27-21 VT

Nick Andre: 28-17 FSU

It is a good thing that Griffin added the Virginia Tech winning score prediction (reverse psychology), so that we did not have Florida State victories across the board. However, I hope that this leads to Seminole fans being happy when the team gets the much-needed home finale win.
