Va Tech isn't a great passing team, so the loss doesn't hurt as much

Florida State football will enter Saturday night’s game against the Virginia Tech Hokies mostly healthy, according to the initial Student-Athlete Availability Report released on Thursday night.

FSU will be without its best cornerback, Jabrill Rawls. Rawls has been dealing with a shoulder injury and missed a game earlier this year due to it. It looked like he got banged up in the Clemson game last week. However, FSU defensive end James Williams is listed as probable. Freshman Jayvan Boggs, Roydell Williams, Lawayne McCoy, Gunnar Hansen, and Teriq Mallory are listed as probable.

Starting running back Samuel Singleton is questionable, and it’s good to see Chase Loftin make some progress; he’s listed as questionable after missing most of the season. Could this mean we'll more of freshman Ousmane Kromah at running back?

Virginia Tech isn’t a great passing team and rely on running its quarterback for a lot of its offense. Rawls is a good tackler who plays with physicality, so FSU could miss him in that aspect. However, they shouldn’t have to worry about Va Tech throwing the ball all around the field. Va Tech has only averaged about 22 passes per game over the last three, and the average yards per attempt is about 6.13

Virginia Tech has 14 players listed as out and two questionable. However, most of the games listed haven’t been much of a factor for the Hokies all season.

The betting line continues to be FSU favored by -13.5 points and the over/under points total at 54.5. It'll be interesting to see which FSU team shows up. Will they continue to fight hard? We suspect they will since it's the final home game and they'll be honoring the seniors.
