FSU FOOTBALL SEASON OPENER
The offseason is almost over, and this is a pivotal 2025 season for the Florida State Seminoles as they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the opener on Saturday, August 30th at 3:30 PM EST in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium.
The ACC has a few pivotal matchups to show that the conference is legit, as Clemson vs LSU will also be playing in Week 1. The conference will be trying to put both games on the pedestal early in hopes that Florida State and Clemson can be competitive.
CASTELLANOS HAS A GREAT INTERVIEW
Quarterback Thomas Castellanos is golden content right now, after he made some controversial comments about the Crimson Tide a few weeks ago to On3's Pete Nakos, where he stated that "They don't have Nick Saban to save them. I just don't see them stopping me."
Instantly, that made Seminole fans cringe as some individuals don't want the spotlight on them. They would rather be low-key about it than make the Crimson Tide hyperfocus on them.
Nonetheless, the ACC Network came to Tallahassee to complete a feature on the Seminoles. Former Florida State quarterback EJ Manuel interviewed Castellanos, and we know that the signal-caller would never put unwanted attention on a program that he once attended.
EDWIN JOSEPH JR. GETS A SHOUTOUT
Castellanos was asked by Manuel who the biggest trash talker on the defense was, and he selected redshirt sophomore defensive back Edwin Joseph Jr. Here is the full interview from Twitter (X):

This is someone that I imagined Castellanos would select. The former Chaminade-Madonna Prep standout was a defender who stood out last season. Whether it was the bone-crushing hit versus Georgia Tech in the opener or the "If you don't want to be here, then go home" comment heading to practice, the defensive back is a fan favorite.
Joseph Jr. isn't former defensive back Jalen Ramsey (I don't think anyone could ever be), but I absolutely adored the confidence that he shows on the football field and I hope it is contagious with his teammates as they bring the aggression to the practice field, meeting rooms, and on game days.
