There isn't much news about Florida State's 2027 recruiting class, as they only have seven commitments in the fold. However, they do have a quarterback in place with Logan Flaherty from Port Charlotte, Florida.
We at Chop Chat were able to conduct an interview with Flaherty about what it means to be a Seminole, what his message is to recruits, and what he wants to work on during his senior season of high school.
Q&A with Class of 2027 three-star quarterback commit Logan Flaherty
Q: You have had family members graduate from Florida State, and I imagine that you have been a fan of the Seminoles for a while. What does it mean to you to be part of Florida State’s recruiting class?
A: “It is an honor to be part of this year’s recruiting class. I’m super grateful for the opportunity given to me, and it’s a very surreal feeling knowing that I will be attending FSU in the near future.”
Q: Obviously, the quarterback is one of the more important positions on the field. But you cannot do your job without the help of the recruits that you surround yourself with. What is your message to those prospects who are considering Florida State?
A: “My message to all the recruits has been the same: Belief in the coaches, in the players, and in the program. Coach Norvell has won before. He has been to the highest level and is fully capable of doing it again. I tell them they have to believe in what they are doing and trust that they will handle their business and that the ‘27 class can be a huge part of the success in the future.”
Q: As you approach your senior season, what are you hoping to improve upon with your skill set this year?
A: “The biggest thing I want to improve on is the ability to operate from the pocket more consistently and comfortably, as well as continuing to learn more about the game of football and becoming a student of the game to help the mental side of the game come a little easier.”
We want to thank Logan for taking the time out of his day to answer the questions for us. Be sure to follow his X (Twitter) account here.
