Will the Noles feature an all-black uniform combination during the 2024 season?

FSU football has some of the most iconic uniform combinations in all of college football. The garnet and gold color scheme is so unique to even the most casual viewer.

As we alluded to in a previous article, the Seminoles have seemed to hint at the idea of wearing the turquoise Nike N7 uniforms this upcoming season. We understand that those uniforms have a significant meaning of harmony, friendship, and fellowship in the culture of many Native Americans.

There is a valid reason to suggest that this will eventually come to life given that the basketball has already worn the combination on the hardwood.

However, former Florida State graphic designer Klayton Campbell (KCamp) released a photo edit on Friday afternoon of defensive back Kevin Knowles II wearing the all-black uniform.

This is a color scheme that a portion of the fan base wants to see as a return. While no one wants to have PTSD from the 2018 Virginia Tech matchup in Doak Campbell Stadium where the team wore the combination.

Overall, the team has gone on to accomplish massive successes in the past two seasons where it has combined to have a 23-4 record. As long as the program elevates to a point where it is consistently competing for championships then that is ultimately what matters.

However, there is a group of individuals among the fan base who are excited when it comes to discussing uniforms. With the unveiling of the new uniform design during last year's spring game, they only showcased a garnet and white jersey. There were fans wondering where the black jerseys were.

Many college football programs have black alternates. While I am not the biggest fan of swaying away from the traditional garnet and gold combination, I understand that this generation of players truly loves the combination of having something different to play in every once in a while.

My ultimate question is if the Seminoles do release an all-black uniform combination, will they have an alternate black and/or garnet helmet to with it? It is the offseason and the uniform talk is upon us.
