Florida State football's 2024 season is still a ways away. However, the offseason is filled with transfer portal acquisitions, recruits committing to the program, and Tour of Duty workouts.

The Seminoles have caught the attention of several around the college football landscape after securing a 23-4 record over the last two seasons. The program under the guidance of head football coach Mike Norvell after four seasons has been remarkable to see the growth.

Florida State has always been a prolific program that has garnered respect and appreciation for its head coaching stints of the great and late Bobby Bowden as well as Jimbo Fisher (even though some fans are frustrated with how things transpired).

Nonetheless, the garnet and gold combination is one of the most recognizable in all of college football. This past season, the Seminoles unveiled their new uniform design and only included garnet and white jerseys. A portion of the fan base was a bit upset after noticing that they did not include black jerseys in the unveiling at the Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase last season.

Interestingly enough, on Saturday morning, a picture surfaced that had the turquoise heritage jerseys hanging on the rack. Florida State announced this past season when they played the Duke Blue Devils that the coaching staff would wear the Nike N7 line of turquoise clothing on the sideline.

The color turquoise represents harmony, friendship, and fellowship in the culture of many Native Americans. While the football team's players have not worn the turquoise jerseys, the basketball program has partaken in wearing them.

Former Florida State graphic designer Klayton Campbell (KCamp) released an edit on social media with defensive back Azareye'h Thomas wearing the turquoise uniform combination. I believe that it could be a great way to represent the heritage of the different tribes.

I could certainly see the Seminoles trying to wear these when they take on Charleston Southern on Saturday, November 23rd in Doak Campbell Stadium.
