Will Florida State continue to push for Class of 2025 UF four-star IOL commit Peyton Joseph?

Florida State already has secured a commitment in their 2025 recruiting class with five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. However, Thomas has taken visits elsewhere which includes a recent unofficial visit to the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.

However, the coaching staff allows committed prospects to take trips to other schools if they are communicating their intentions to visit. Head football coach Mike Norvell always believes that it is best to allow the recruits to visit other schools to make sure that Tallahassee is the best place for them.

After the unofficial visit to Tallahassee on Saturday for their second scrimmage, Thomas spoke to the media where he stated that it felt like home being back at Florida State and says that his commitment level to the program is very strong. Obviously, you cannot trust anything in recruiting until the dotted line is signed because it is an ever-changing process.

With that being said, Florida State has other options that it is looking at such as Class of 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman target Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. Joseph has been committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators since February.

It seems like the talented offensive lineman is heavily interested in Florida State as he has taken a multi-day visit to Tallahassee to visit the campus and be around the coaches as well as attend practices.

Joseph seemed to have a fun time in Tallahassee on his unofficial visit where he was chopping it up with current offensive lineman TJ Ferguson (who I believe is his cousin).

Does this mean that the Seminoles will decide to turn up the heat with Thomas considering his options at this time? I do believe that the Florida Gators will struggle during the 2024 season, which could open the door for Joseph to de-commit from the program.
