4-star UF OL commit Peyton Joseph schedules spring visit with Florida State
Many individuals in the college football recruiting landscape will tell you how fluent and unpredictable it is. It goes to show how much investment a variety of coaching staff have to display to secure a commitment from a prospect.
Florida State has had its fair share of prospects that have trended away from them just to later commit and sign with the Seminoles on Signing Day.
This could be an interesting scenario where Class of 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia, who committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators last month.
Joseph visited the Seminoles multiple times. He has showcased mutual interest with the coaching staff. However, he elected to pledge to Florida.
With that being said, the recruitment does not seem to be over by any means with the Houston County High School standout as On3's Chad Simmons reported that the interior offensive lineman will be visiting Florida State on April 2nd.
It is still worrisome that Joseph will be taking a multi-day visit to the Gators while he is only visiting Florida State and Georgia for singular days. Overall, in this day in age, these young men want to enjoy the recruiting process. Sometimes fans have to allow these prospects the opportunity to share this special moment with their loved ones.
Understandably, some of these prospects will never get to experience to visit a variety of places. While Joseph has made his intentions known that he is locked in with Florida, the term "locked" is not widely trusted by individuals within the college football realm.
Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins would be overjoyed if he was able to land four-star Peyton Joseph and hang on to five-star Solomon Thomas, that would be a massive building block for an offensive line unit that wants to be the best in the county.
