Florida State now ranks as the 17th-best recruiting class in the 2025 247Sports Composite rankings with thirteen commitments after four-star wide receiver Malik Clark from Rock Hill, South Carolina pledged to the Seminoles on Thursday afternoon.

While it was a shock that Clark committed to Florida State instead of the home-state South Carolina Gamecocks, I cannot say that I am surprised it happened since four-star wide receiver also chose the Seminoles instead of the home-state Georgia Bulldogs.

Fans were originally frustrated with recruiting efforts since the coaching staff did not get commitments earlier in the period. Some individuals even suggested that the coaching staff could not recruit (which was far from the truth).

Florida State has the luxury of being selective with the prospects they choose to go after, given that the program has a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons. As we inch closer and closer to the season, here are two names that Seminole fans need to monitor for the program.
