Three important players from the Seminoles' roster for the 2024 season
DJ LUNDY
The linebacker position has always been a topic of discussion for many Seminole fans. The depth of the unit was tested this offseason after veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune exceeded their eligibility.
Florida State needed some meaningful contributors to step up with their losses. Just when you thought that it couldn't get any worse, redshirt junior DJ Lundy entered the transfer portal and committed to Colorado.
The Seminoles were left to wonder if they could rely on players such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., and Justin Cryer. However, Florida State received the best news of the offseason where Lundy announced that he would be de-committing from Colorado and returning to Tallahassee for his senior season in 2024.
While Lundy has not mastered his coverage skills while at Florida State, he is an effective run-stopper who can come downfield and make the tackle. I expect Lundy to make the most of his final season under linebackers coach Randy Shannon.
