The FSU-Clemson matchup is not generating any excitement from the fan base
It is Florida State versus Clemson game week.
If you would have told any Seminole fan in the offseason, they would have thought that there would potentially be College GameDay coming to Tallahassee to watch two of the ACC's best programs go head-to-head.
Instead, Florida State is limping to the finish line in what has been a disastrous 2024 campaign. It is a night game in Tallahassee as the Seminoles take on the Tigers on Saturday night. We got the news that quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will miss a couple of weeks due to an injury of his finger on his throwing hand. Redshirt freshman Brock Glenn will now be called on in relief.
To be truthful, it has to upsetting to Glenn that has now had to be thrown into the fire with the season on the line in the ACC Championship Game versus Louisville, a meaningless Orange Bowl against Georgia where the majority of the key players opted out, and now against a Clemson that has been blowing out opponents since being embarrassed by Georgia during the opening weekend.
Nonetheless, the fan base wants to see change at the position. Honestly, the large majority of individuals want to see the young players on the roster get their opportunity. Whether this team goes 1-11, 3-9, or even 5-7, it won't matter. The people associated with this university want to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Coming into the offseason, fans had the Clemson, North Carolina, and Florida games circled as exciting home games. It feels like the Tigers can now just pick their score against the Seminoles. Unfortunately, the fanbase are probably checked out this season with the program and just wanted to see something to cling to as 2025 rolls around.
It could be a long road for the Seminoles as they have seven regular season games on the docket. Nonetheless, I will continue to support this program no matter how ugly it gets.
