Florida State football conducted its seventh practice of fall camp on Thursday morning. The Seminoles were off of practice on Wednesday.

We are officially 23 days away from the 2024 season opener versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday, August 24th at 12 PM EST in Dublin, Ireland. Obviously, with it being fall camp, there will be some growing pains with a roster filled with several newcomers.

Florida State does not have talented veterans such as Jordan Travis, Trey Benson, Keon Coleman, Jaheim Bell, and Johnny Wilson out there on offense anymore. With that being said, the offense has performed relatively well.

Unfortunately, the offense seemed to take a step back as Florida State head football Mike Norvell spoke to the media after Thursday's practice where he stated the following: "I thought today was filled with good and bad. I thought there were times offensively where we were sloppy and had some missed opportunities."

Be sure to check out the video of Norvell's media session down below.

This is understandable with the offensive unit being sloppy at times, especially with the number of newcomers such as DJ Uiagalelei, Roydell Williams, Jaylin Lucas, Malik Benson, Jalen Brown, TJ Ferguson, and Richie Leonard IV.

It is also wise to mention that the Seminoles' defense is very talented with pieces such as Patrick Payton, Marvin Jones Jr., Joshua Farmer, Darrell Jackson Jr., DJ Lundy, Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, Earl Little Jr., and Shyheim Brown.

It is normal to see the offense sloppy at times. I would rather see the unit be sloppy at this juncture in the fall camp than showcase that product versus Georgia Tech in the season opener. I believe that head football coach Mike Norvell will have this offense ready to go and dialed in by the time the season starts.
