NFL team is already showcasing their FSU NFL Draft picks on social media
Florida State football fans were able to witness a bittersweet moment during the 2024 NFL Draft where ten of the team's contributors were selected. The Seminoles enjoyed the successes of an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.
Just when you thought it could not get any better, defensive end Jared Verse and defensive tackle Braden Fiske were selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the first and second rounds, respectively.
Verse and Fiske were a duo that could not be stopped in the ACC Championship Game versus the Louisville Cardinals where they combined 15 tackles (7.5 for loss) and five sacks in a must-win contest.
The talented players were brought into the program from schools such as Albany (Jared Verse) and Western Michigan (Braden Fiske). You would think that there were homegrown players because of their motivation and effort on the football field. That is the culture that head football coach Mike Norvell has instilled in his program.
On Thursday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams showcased both rookies on their official Twitter (X) account.
With future Hall-of-Famer defensive lineman Aaron Donald unexpectedly retiring this offseason from the Rams, the organization is having to turn the page into a new era in hopes of finding talent and stability at the position.
While that is a lot to ask for with two rookie defensive linemen, they have what it takes to be successful. The duo could be scary for opposing offensive linemen to block. They even have a former running back teammate Trey Benson (who was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals) nervous to play them twice a year because of Verse and Fiske.
The Rams have a plan in place where they look to emphasize the defensive trenches. It can be effective in generating pressure on opposing signal-callers to ruin the flow of offenses. I cannot wait to see Verse and Fiske in action this season.
